One night, a woman looks up the sky and notices a cloud of stars along the Aegean Sea. And since then, her love of adorning oneself with metal is refracted through the same shimmers…

In that early September night story, the woman was myself, Özge. And that star cluster was Pleiades (in Gr.) a.k.a MATARIKI (in Maori), the nearest star cluster which can even be seen with the naked eye in the night sky.

So, MATARIKI means wherever we are, we are looking to the same stars sharing one planet.

In this immense variety, MATARIKI Atelier chooses to embrace a simple, gender-neutral design, adorning the human body whilst caring for all.
